Come vi avevamo anticipato, i tre finalisti per il Grand Prix di Angoulême 2018 erano: Richard Corben, Emmanuel Guibert e Chris Ware. Ora, è stato annunciato che a vincere il prestigioso premio è stato Corben.

L’autore, dunque, sarà il presidente della giuria della prossima edizione del festival, ne realizzerà il poster. Inoltre, come tradizione, gli verrà dedicata una ricca mostra.

Nato nel 1940, Corben è un fumettista e illustratore statunitense che ha collaborato per le maggiori case editrici americani a partire dagli anni '70, fra cui Marvel e DC. È il 4° fumettista americano a cui va il premio, dopo Robert Crumb, Art Spiegelman e Bill Watterson.

Come ormai sapete, il prossimo 18 aprile uscirà l'albo Action Comics #1000 che celebrerà il personaggio di Superman e presenterà diverse storie e cover. L'albo avrà 80 pagine e costerà 7,99$. Contemporaneamente, uscirà anche il libro Action Comics #1000: 80 Years of Superman che avrà 384 pagine e costerà 29,99€. Il volume hardcover è curato dall'ex editor DC Paul Levitz e includerà una nuova storia originale di Levitz e di Neal Adams intitolata "The Game" e una storia di Superman di 12 pagine mai pubblicata di Jerry Siegel e del Joe Shuster Studio intitolata "Too Many Heroes".

Tony Stark tornerà ad essere Iron Man con il numero 599 di Invincible Iron Man in uscita ad aprile, ovvero il penultimo scritto da Brian Michael Bendis.

In coma dopo gli eventi di Civil War II, il corpo di Stark scomparve dalla struttura medica a cui era stato affidato il Marvel Legacy #1. Il modo in cui si risveglia e ritorna alla sua armatura sarà rivelato in questo numero di aprile.

Non si fa menzione dell'attuale protagonista della serie, ovvero Ironheart (a.k.a Riri Williams), ma è stato annunciata che il personaggio si unirà ai Champions con il numero di aprile.

La parte artistica dell'albo sarà affidata a Stefano Caselli e ad Alex Maleev. Di seguito potete vedere, invece, la cover ad opera di Chris Sprouse.

Kurt Busiek, Brent Anderson e Alex Ross diranno addio alla serie di Astro City con il numero 52 in uscita il prossimo 18 aprile. Tuttavia, questo non sarà una fine.

In un tweet, infatti, Busiek ha annunciato che la serie tornerà sotto forma di graphic novel. Al momento, però, non ci sono ulteriori dettagli a riguardo.
