La notizia è ufficiale: The Flash, lo show con Grant Gustin, terminerà con la 9° stagione in arrivo nel 2023. The CW ha cancellato la serie e, con la sua fine, diremo definitivamente addio all'Arrowverse.

Come riportato da THR, inoltre, la nona stagione di The Flash sarà inoltre composta da soli 13 episodi.

Gustin è apparso per la prima volta nei panni di Barry Allen nella seconda stagione di Arrow, prima di ottenere una serie tutta sua l'anno successivo. The CW ha dato vita a un universo narativo che oltre Arrow e The Flash includeva DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, Batwoman e Black Lightning, tutte chiuse. Superman & Lois e Stargirl non fanno invece parte dell'Arrowverse. 

La 9° stagione di The Flash arriverà su The CW nel 2023.

Dopo la riduzione degli episodi e il finale riscritto della sesta stagione, a causa dell'emergenza Covid-19, tornerà fra un mese su The CW la serie Arrowverse The Flash con Grant Gustin.

La rete, ora, ha diffuso il primo trailer della settima stagione dello show che debutterà il prossimo 2 marzo.

Dopo Arrow, un altro serial dell'Arrowverse giungerà alla sua conclusione. Entertainment Weekly riporta, infatti, che la sesta stagione di Supergirl sarà anche l'ultima. Il sito riporta che gli sceneggiatori hanno già iniziato a progettare l'ultima stagione, che durerà 20 episodi e andrà in onda nel 2021.

Avviata originariamente nel 2015 su CBS, la serie è ambientata in una realtà diversa rispetto a quella dell'Arrowverse. I due universi si sono incontrati varie volte quando poi lo show si è trasferito, dalla seconda stagione, su The CW. Attualmente la rete sta lancia uno spin-off su Superman & Lois previsto per il 2021.
