Ciao Kylie, bentornata su Comicus. Da Thor ad Avengers. Come sei stata coinvolta nella realizzazione di questa pellicola? E quali sono state le tue sensazioni nel partecipare a un altra pellicola prodotta dalla Marvel, e così attesa, in così poco tempo?   

Ero la controfigura di Cobie Smulders. È stato magnifico lavorare di nuovo per i Marvel Studios. C'era la maggior parte delle stesse persone che conoscevo a lavorare sugli Avengers, quindi è stato come tornare a casa, essere di nuovo in famiglia.

In questo film sei la stunt double di Cobie Smulders. Come ti sei trovata a lavorare con lei?

È stata un'esperienza fantastica lavorare per Cobie. È una donna così adorabile, e davvero dolce e genuina. Era persino davvero eccitata all'idea di fare la maggior parte delle sue scene d'azione, allenandosi duramente per far sì che quelle scene risultassero buone. Sembra una specie di maschiaccio, ed era molto coordinata e decisa.

Essendo Cobie relativamente nuova a questo genere di pellicole, ti ha chiesto per caso qualche consiglio?

Sì, Cobie mi ha chiesto dei consigli su come rendere le sue scene d'azione più realistiche, e mi ha anche chiesto di allenarla per  poter riuscire a fare alcuni dei movimenti più difficili, piuttosto che starsene seduta e lasciare che li facessi io.

Cosa puoi dirci invece di Joss Whedon? Hai avuto a che fare con lui direttamente?

Joss Whedon ha sempre mantenuto l'energia sul set e sembrava felicissimo del film che stava realizzando. È anche stato sempre carino e gentile con l'intero staff.

Tra Thor e The Avengers quali sono state, secondo te, le differenze sostanziali nelle scene d'azione, se ve ne sono?

Non posso davvero rispondere a questa domanda, perché non ho lavorato sulla maggior parte delle scene d'azione in The Avengers . Il mio ruolo in questo film è di gran lunga minore rispetto a quello che avevo in Thor. Inoltre, non posso rilasciare informazioni sulle scene d'azione su cui ho lavorato prima dell'uscita del film; fa parte del mio contratto.

Quanto tempo hai lavorato a The Avengers?

Ho lavorato su The Avengers per circa un paio di settimane.

Puoi raccontarci, come la volta scorsa, e senza rivelarci particolari sulla trama, un simpatico aneddoto sulle riprese?

Dico solo che spero che escano i blooper di Cobie perché il suo senso dell'humor e il ritmo della sua commedia sono senza prezzo.. comprate il DVD per capire a cosa mi riferisco.

Tra qualche mese inizieranno le riprese di Thor 2. Sei già pronta a un altra avventura asgardiana? Hai per caso parlato con Jaime Alexander di questo? Che ne pensi della nuova regista?

Sono sempre pronta a tornare ad Asgard. È uno dei miei posti preferiti. Io e Jamie abbiamo parlato di Thor 2. In questo momento siamo ad Albuquerque, in New Mexico, per le riprese di un film d'azione. Lei è il personaggio femminile principale nel film Last Stand di Arnold Schwarznegger. Siamo entrambe impazienti all'idea di ritornare nel mondo di Thor. C'è molto allenamento da fare fino ad allora... Non sono stata al passo con le novità sul regista. Ho sentito dire che è una donna? Abbiamo parlato di come sarebbe interessante per il personaggio di Sif.

Altri nuovi progetti?

Come ho già detto, sono stata la controfigura di Jaimie in Last Stand, nell'ultimo mese e mezzo. Ho anche presentato un episodio di un programma su MTV chiamato Made, che sarà trasmesso in America questa settimana. Ho trasformato una teenager modello Paris Hilton in una outdoor adventure racer.
E in mezzo a tutte queste cose, ho scritto un libro per la sopravvivenza femminile, che dovrebbe essere pubblicato presto, in cui cerco di aiutare le donne per far sì che sappiano come comportarsi in situazioni di emergenza. Quindi mi tengo molto impegnata.

Hi Kylie, welcome back to Comicus. From Thor to The Avengers. How were you involved into the making of this movie? And which were your impressions taking part to another movie produced by Marvel Studios, so much expected, in such a little time?

I was the stunt double for Cobie Smulders. It was great to work for Marvel Studios again.  There were a lot of the same people working on Avengers so it was kind of like coming home, back to family.

In this movie you are Cobie Smulders'stunt double. How was it working with her?

Cobie was fantastic to work for. She is such a lovely lady and very sweet and genuine.  She was also very enthusiastic about doing a majority of her action, training hard to make the active part of her scenes look good.  She seems like a kind of tom boy and was very coordinated and bold.
 
Being Cobie relatively new to this kind of movies, did she ask you for some advice?

Cobie did ask advice about how to make some of her action look more realistic and also asked to be trained to do some of the more active moves rather than sitting back and letting me do them for her.

What can you tell us about Joss Whedon? Did you work directly with him?

Joss Whedon always kept the energy on the set light and seemed very enthusiastic about the movie he was making.  He was always really nice to the entire crew.

Between Thor and The Avengers which were, in your opinion, the main differences into action sequences, if any?

I can't really comment on this question as I didn't work on most of the big action sequences for The Avengers.  My role in this movie is much smaller than the role I played for Thor.  I also can't give any information out about the action sequences I did work on until after the movie has come out.  Contractual obligations.

How long have you worked for The Avengers?

I only worked for a couple of weeks on The Avengers

Can you tell us, like the last time, and without revealing too much about the story, a funny moment during the shooting?

Well let me just say, I hope that Cobie makes the blooper reel because her sense of humor and comedic timing is priceless...  Buy the DVD to find out what I'm referring to.

In a few months shooting of Thor 2 will begin. Are you ready for another asgardian adventure?

I am always ready to head back to Asgard.  It's one of my favorite places.
 
Have you talked to Jaime Alexander about this?What do you think about the new director?

Jaimie and I have talked about Thor 2.  We are in Albuquerque, New Mexico filming an action film together right now.  She is the lead female in Arnold Schwarznegger's Last Stand.  We are both very excited to re-visit the whole world of Thor.  There is a lot of training to be done between now and then...I haven't really kept up with the news about who the director is.  I did hear that it was a female?  We talked about how interesting that will be for the character of Sif.

Any other work in progress?

As mentioned, I have been doubling Jaimie in Last Stand for the last month and a half.  I also hosted an episode of an MTV show called Made.  That is going to air in America this week.  I turned a Paris Hilton type teenager into an outdoor adventure racer.  And in between all that I wrote a female survival book that is due to be released sometime soon helping women to educate themselves about what to do in emergency situations.  So keeping myself very busy.
